Amazing service by Clinton on our 3rd New Years dinner in this steakhouse. He was so professional and personable, what a gem of and employee! Amazing ambiance, divine food, very pleasant and helpful coat guardian Lady. Excellent chef and support staff! We are looking forward to next year!!!

Amazing steaks and wonderful desserts.

I have enjoyed many steaks over my years, but surprisingly this was absolutely an amazing cowboy cut ribeye steak. I would put it against NY Keen's or Gallagher or Chicago's Gene & Georgetti. Job well done 316. You are now on my list for each time I am in town.

We’re visiting here for the first time and ordered this restaurant beforehand. 4.5stars for the decor and atmosphere but 3 stars for the food only. The simple salad is great and flavor is well-balanced. For all the other food it’s kind of too greasy, esp the fois gras and the bone marrow, even the mussels were cooked with a weird smell.

Had a disappointing experience here. We brought my fiancé's service dog and were being turned down to sit on the outside patio unless we provided documentation and papers (per the owner and manager). That's an illegal thing to request and demand in the state of Colorado and an uncomfortable situation for us -- I let him know this and he still refused. Two nice gentleman sitting next to the street on built out tables overheard the situation and offered us their table. The manager continued to make us feel awkward and the guys finally just got up and gave us their seats and moved to the patio. We bought the guys a bottle of wine for being so nice, still tipped 20% but felt weird the whole night as they didn't come out to us much and we could tell we weren't wanted. Bottom line: Treat your customers better and don't do illegal things.

I had an amazing birthday meal here. The crab cakes were lumpy and packed with flavor. The street corn was delish. The steaks were cooked to medium rare perfection with the most crispy crust-- it almost tasted flash fried (texture wise). The staff was hilarious and accommodating. They even played some taylor swift for us at the end. I will continue to dream about this steak for a very, very, very long time.

Best steak house in Aspen Colorado hands down! It’s aspen and sometimes things are a little more expensive but you come to Aspen Colorado for the experience! Prime ribeye 🥩 is a cut above the rest! Taste great each and every time!

Been here many times over the years. Food is fantastic, especially the tomato bisque. Great steak. Great bar. Very cool atmosphere. Unlike so many restaurants in Aspen, they don't treat travelers like they are not welcome.

Our table tried the steaks, salads, and many sides, and all were absolutely fantastic. Seriously, the food was delicious, wine was amazing and the service impeccable. I would return to Aspen just to eat here again. A must try if you are in town.

Stumbled on this spot thinking we were at the restaurant we planned on visiting. SO HAPPY WE DID! One of the best meals ever! Great gluten free amazing chocolate torte to top off a great steak! The potatoes au poivre were fabulous! Service from Clint was perfection!

Awesome service, with every attention to detail. Filet was like butter. Vegetable side dishes, devine. Great cocktail menu as well. It's definitely pricey, but worth it! Decor was very homey, comfortable and intimate. Wish I knew the history of the old house!

Looking forward to a return visit. Prices that won't shock you. Not close to my job, I wish it was.

Worst steak of my life with awful service

Service was really good. The Lamb was good but a little fatty and skinny compared to restaurants of similar caliber. The brussel sprout Cesar was really good. They really are a five star butt I had to lose one for the Lamb. I will revisit again.

We all really enjoyed it!! Steak and all the sides were very good!! Plenty of options for wine and cocktails, which were all very good. Two of us shared the porterhouse for 2 and it was plenty of food. The service was exceptional!!

One of the best restaurants in Aspen by far, Steak House 316 has been rated the best steakhouse in CO by Food & Wine magazine, and it lives up to it. You’ll get an intimate space a bit calmer than most Aspen restaurants, impeccable service, a menu that works for everyone in your party. I don’t eat beef or pork, and I go there for their seafood, fish, appetizers, and sides. It’s always 5-star and satisfies even the most discerning eaters. Definitely try their key lime pie, crudo, and really, you can’t go wrong there

It's all about the steaks. Our group of six enjoyed attentive service and a comfortable atmosphere, but the star of the show was the beef. I might go to a steakhouse once a year, so it's good to make it count. My 20 ounce medium rare Cowboy Ribeye was perfectly cooked, even throughout, flavorful and tender. Four of the six of us had steaks with similar positive reviews, but the two who had main course salads and crab cakes loved the food too. Our server was great as well. Our only objection was background music that was a bit too loud for a couple people at our table, discouraging conversation. I'm personally not sure why a steakhouse needs background music. It was a distraction from an otherwise fun dinner.

The food was good, our server was terrific, and the decibel level of the music was overwhelming. Our party ate there on 6/19/20, and the music was debilitating. We asked management 4 times, nicely, to lower the insane volume and were met with the 'evil eye' of condescension and zero help or response. It's hard to imagine why a restaurant that charges this much for their food ($40 cobb salad) needs to blast their diners out of their seats. We had to shout to hear each other and much of the conversation was lost in the lyrics of 80's dance music. Do decibels kill Coronavirus?

So much pepper in my filet you couldn’t eat it. It was like they were trying to rub a brisket with the amount of pepper. Had another steak come out that was severely undercooked. Bad experience.

Best steak in aspen

It is a tranding place if you want to see the city move you have to go, it is expensive and to my liking they put too much pepper on meats. The staff is friendly and helpful. 👣

This restaurant deserves a Michelin star. We were overcome with the quality of food and ambiance. We will definitely be back. A must visit in Aspen.

We were in Aspen for our 1st wedding anniversary and were looking for a special place to have dinner. This experience exceeded our expectations. This is not your run-of-the-mill steak house. Most high-end steakhouses pull in an older crowd with decor and music to match. This experience was wholly different. The ambiance is just gorgeous. I would call it 1950's meets 2020. You get this "I want a martini or a Manhattan" vibe. It's dimly lit with really cool framed black and white photographs of old actors and exposed brick walls. There are candles on all the tables and amber colored lighting for the bar. The music playing was just perfect. It was this super chill down tempo, trip hop, electronica. For instance, one of the tracks playing that really set the vibe was Finally Moving by Pretty Lights. You know the one with the Etta James sample and scratching record. My husband and I will remember this dining experience for a lifetime. The food was outstanding. I had the cowboy ribeye. He had the wagyu flatiron. He said it was like eating butter. My ribeye was cooked perfectly. You know when the fat is all perfectly carmelized. Mmhhm. We chose wild mushroom risotto and whipped garlic mashed potatoes for our sides and they didn't disappoint. Seriously, this place was the pinnacle of our Aspen Anniversary weekend. It really set the standard for all other anniversaries. Thank you, Steakhouse no.316! Don't ever change. Xoxo's The Kaus's.
